Here’s looking at ya’

Very recently in just about every country I can think of we all are asked to celebrate in and with The World’s Lovliest Behinds, or the now famous The World’s Best Butt/Buttocks Award sponsored by Sloggi, a division of the lingerie giant, Triumph International.

Well it seems as though there are several ‘World’s Greatest’ bums out there, basically almost by country. Nonetheless, we’re going to give our level best effort to show some of the winners–hey, we’re even thinking about featuring a male!

So from Paris, to Munich, to Rominia, and even a few from here in the good old U.S.A., if you like the human form especially female derrieres…we hope you’ll enjoy this presentation.

You know…for the longest time–I think since birth or somewhere close to it–I have been enamored with the female buttocks. Don’t ask me why because I simply don’t know why. And I might add that most of my girlfriends are the same way…meaning, that they also enjoy the female derrière as well.

It’s not like all of us don’t like men’s behinds, because we do! It’s just a matter of variety, texture, shape I believe that makes women’s butts more enamouring than males’ butts. I don’t mean to be rude or otherwise, but you just don’t get that sense that there is a great deal of variety in men’s assess; do you?

Recently in conversations with some lady friends it was disclosed ad infinitum, that one could tell more about a female person–personally, physically, emotionally,  just about every personality characteristic by just checking out the constructs of her butt.

So what do you folks think? I’m setting up a poll and it would be very cool if you could share on it. By the way, I’ve been meaning to give some “shout outs” to some folks who’ve been writing comments and participating in this venture. Without further ado. . .

All of the gorgeous ‘heart-shaped’, firm, well-managed, purrfffeeecccttttt bums above were also contestants in the pageantry albeit shot from backstage or preliminary rounds. How many are male, female, or ‘it.’

Oh! It’s the Brazilian’s!! (more!)

As we mentioned when we first started are expose on models and ladies from around the world, we felt that it was extremely important to not only feature the models but also to feature the environment and cultures from where they came.

 

 Simpleminds believes that people are products of their environments and most people believe that the cultures they come from are unequivocally the best. It is ostensibly impossible to argue with any person about their culture—and equally as important–is why would anyone want too?

 Therefore when we first started our feature it was entitled “Where did they all come from?” based on an Eastern European article we read and subsequently started featuring models from the world over. Then we progressed into featuring the ladies by country; and that brings us to where we are today.

  Experts for years have equated extraordinary beauty with a person’s childhood experiences. In my travels I can attest to the fact that it seems far more apparent when visiting other nations that people just seem happier, healthier, kinder, and so much fuller of happiness to help out.  

Any person whose spent anytime abroad, meaning outside of America, can clearly attest to the fact that once having travelled and lived overseas, it’s when one comes back to America the first thing they-or-certainly I noticed was that people in the USA don’t smile nearly as much as their counterparts around the world. 

 Now I am sure there is a bias here but hey, what’s the big deal? I sure noticed this phenomenon after being outside the country for years. Perhaps the biggest thing I noticed was the general overall differences in children. 

It seems wherever I go, whether it is in a foreign ghetto area, or the top of Diplomat Row, the children have a completely different outlook on things. Now folks–of course I don’t mean just ‘things.’ I mean kids are kids and they are meant to be children.

 Rather than be in an environment of Hollyweird glitz and bling or seeing just about anyone with any athletic talent signing million dollar contracts for most of the children I’ve met abroad have little or no concern of these things what-so-ever!

 

Therefore, I’ve often wondered, of course based on what experts allege and my own personal experience is this hypothetical: When kids are allowed to be kids, playing, laughing, being outdoors and happy do you think that this attitude somehow sustains within that person for life?

 

Having lived in Central and South America I sure can say, “YES!” without question, toss in a stick and a rock and you’ve got yourself a baseball game! Moreover, think of what the talent would be like to make the Brazilian National Soccer Team!!

 

 Here’s another little tidbit to contemplate on: Think of Fidel Castro: He attended Harvard University in Boston; when he completed his coursework he was picked up by the Philadelphia Phillies baseball team as a pitcher. During tryouts the final spot came down to Castro and another person. The other person was selected. The rest is…shall we say history!

 Just another small bit of trivia: Realizing the value and influence that Pele had on Brazil as a country, the Brazilian government had Pele declared a “Natural Resource” so he could not be traded or otherwise unless he had approval from the government!

Oh Those Brazilians! Just a cut above…

Brazil must be the place! Let’s see…if we were in Hawaii we’d say: Brazil is ‘da kine’ place! In Europe, Brazil is often referred to as ‘da bomb’ and allow me to say that the origin of such is a direct compliment to Brazilian women. Sort of like the country is exploding with bronze bombshells. And you know what? It is!!

Starting the clockwise direction from the top: Just up and to the left is Gabriela Rabelo who at a very young age signed with Penny Preville and some other big name glamour and beauty names…besides, she is about as perfect as anyone I’ve ever seen!

I think that Brazil is magical kind of like Disneyland is magical. I’d swear that some kind of genetic experimentation is going on there…but it’s not just looks that are so spectacular. From film to fashion, food, colorful clothing, with the spirit of love in the air,  Brazil is the place that renowned artists write and sing about. Have you ever noticed how happy the people are?

I can vividly recall being a little person with my parents at the movies and hearing, “Girl from Ipanema” playing in an endless loop. Somehow I never tired of the tune. And today…I still hear the same tune from the same artist just about weekly! Then again Barry Manilow made a career and a fortune singing about at the “Copa.” Even Duran-Duran did some marvelous tributes to Rio and all of Brazil.

And of course to the immediate right is the one the only Leticia Burkheuer who is and has been one of Brazil’s more successful models. Leticia for me is real cutting edge…I mean if it’s a hair cut, denim endorsement, or lingerie—Leticia takes modeling just one step further up.

Anyone catch the film, Turista’s last year? Well it was just one of those ’screamer’ films made much in the same genre as Nightmare on Elm Street, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Halloween, or anyone of the hundreds of ’slasher’ films made annually in the industry.

I featured it about a year ago here on Simpleminds and even offered an I.D. challenge for the mystery girl in the cast. All up the film was okay; however, the cast and location shots were outright amazing. We’re talking under water caves, beaches, and jungle. The film did have enough powerful dialog in it to make me look up several statistics regarding such a gorgeous country.

Brazil continues to pursue industrial and agricultural growth and development of its interior. Exploiting vast natural resources and a large labor pool, it is today South America’s leading economic power and a regional leader.

As most know I believe one of the greatest qualities a model can have is known as versatility. I have featured several models intermittently on this site who for some reason have the ability to look Asian, African, Caucasian, or Latin while at the same time being blonde, brunette, big, small, athletic, and Divine.

 Opposite and to the right is the sensational Ana Gequelin; seriously, it would not be a stretch to feature an entire week’s worth of material simply on the salacious Ms. Gequelin. 

Many, many Brazilian models are able to fit this versatility virtue to perfection. I mean these are the kind of professionals that one may compare in two separate photographs and say, “No way!!” That can’t possibly be so-and-so; or ‘you’re kidding me!’ I didn’t know that was her!

Certainly one of the most successful models to come from Brazil personifies the versatility virtue. Ana Beatriz Barros is just one of the more gifted ladies of having this talent. Did you know that there are actually experts that all they do is cover Ms. A.B.B? I know a couple of them and they even have a difficult time.

Oh! Those Brazilians!!

There is just something about traveling and living in other countries. As for me, I really must admit that the greatest growth and maturing has come from my living amongst different cultures. This is certainly not to say that a person’s life is not enriched by any travel-because I believe that it is. Growing up I remember every single one of my friends going abroad, somewhere.

And every single time they came back they seemed changed…somehow different. I mean they even looked different! There were far more smiles on faces and a certain willingness to participate more in everything we did. People ate differently as well as seemed braver and “more worldly.” After years of seeing this I came to the conclusion that they just didn’t appear different…they were different.

After starting my year ending series featuring those ‘Brazilian Babes’ or far more eloquently, “Babes Gorgeous de Brasil” I got to chatting with another person who maintains a blog here at WordPress and a frequent chess opponent who does his bit heck, all of our bits, of traveling. So he wrote this comment:

“I spent a week at the beach last year in Balearnio Camboriu, in Santa Catarina near Florianopolis, and no doubt the Brasilian boys and girls were the most beautiful I have ever seen.”

Okay then…on to what I should be writing about. The gorgeous model in the upper right is Camila Alves who as we all know has received so much attention in the USA lately because of the birth of her brand new baby-Congratulations Camilia! She’s been with a talented young man who goes by the name of Matthew McConaughey.

The magnificence of the Brazilian women is that no matter what they are wearing it seems like it was made just for them; moreover, they look so comfortable in whatever their wearing. Take for example the swimwear; although, just a couple pieces of cloth and WOW! It’s like these models and all Brazilian ladies can take a Tee-shirt and cut the sleeves, or the collar, or even splatter paint and make it look glamorous.

That little ‘charmer’ on the right, relaxing on the beach is Liliane. She holds many titles like: ‘Ford Model of the Year’ or Miss Universe, or for Liliana, it is probably ‘Mrs’ insofar as she recently got married. Congratulations Liliane and your new husband!

The brilliant brunette in the upper right is none other than Jeisa Chiminazzo, who as most know has been featured on this site many times. I hasten to add that she is one of my personal favorites and I can easily remember the day of her “coming out”.

Although there has been much ado about a person who models and enjoys success; and then those who model and achieves copious amounts of money and fame type models; as one knows, when it comes to me a ‘Supermodel’ is never a title to be thrown around to anyone, male or female, who is recognizable or has some big bucks!

Yet in an era where ‘everyone’s a supermodel’ I say sheeeeeeit! No Way! Most of the great, great supermodels are either retired or have moved their careers forward into acting, designing, working with younger talent, owning their own agencies, or coming back into the business where they belong.

However and I will stand by this claim until I die: I believe that Gisele Bundchen is the last of the truly great ‘Supermodels’ of the era. Two very quick observances about Ms. Bundchen: She always looks good no matter what–rain storm, hurricane, traveling, or just waking up; and the second is the last article I read in a reputable periodical and quoting: “Oh yes! Gisele constantly sends money to her family several times a year…nothing is closer to her than her family.” 

 

And yet of course the stars of this week’s The Brazilians brought to you by Simpleminds are of course: The Models: Clockwise from top left: Camila Alves, Jeisa Chiminazzo, Liliane, the immaculate and always delightful, Gisele Bundchen, and of course, Cinthia Moura.

It’s the…Brazilians!!

The irony is that although these folks are from the same nation—often times the same county even the same city—there still exists that individuality that stipulates ‘I am who I am…’  Meaning of course that these bronze bombshells do NOT feel any different from the next person sitting there.

Brazilians are proud people and unique. And they have every right under the sun to be that way. However, I doubt from Alessandria Ambrosio, one the most recognizable faces behind Victoria’s Secret that one will ever hear a true blue (or bronze in this case) Brazilian ever brag or boast about their looks.

As from my experience even Gisele Bundchen thinks and feels that she’s an ‘ordinary’ looking girl! Got to admit though, it is an amazing attribute to have—the humbleness and humility to believe you’re ‘just the same as the other girls.’

Often times I hear that New York City is the most ethnically diverse city in the world, and it probably is for that matter. Whilst living in Australia, most Aussie’s boasted that Melbourne in Victoria Australia captured the title as of the 1990’s. Maybe so, I still need to check. However, I think as far as nation settlement is concerned none, including the United States, could ever boast about the different ethnicities that live in Brazil.

I could go through an entire expose in history laying out who, what, when, and where most folks who inhabit Brazil came from and when they did; however, that’s not my intention here or anywhere for that matter. I think we can sum it up in a word…Rio de Janerio, or maybe Ipanema?  B-R-A-S-I-L !!

This should be a different section altogether, and maybe next week it will…but…just a few things to share with you folks-especially all my mates at Chess.com-who during breaks between moves actually come over to have a look!

Just trying to select 4 to 6 Brazilian models to feature per week–realistically–will run into next summer 2009! So…I’ll do my best trying to feature as many shots as possible from the biggest real Supermodel to glamour models to beauty models to fit models.

Most folks who frequent Simpleminds know that I pay honor and tribute to those fashionista’s that have come before me, during me, and some even afterward, and those still to come; my analogy is the more the better! Yet I’ve been asked this question a lot and I ask it a lot: “Can a student ever be as smart as their teacher? Or “…will the slave ever know as much as his master?” I’m just getting ready for a hat-tip folks!

I say “No.” It’s philosophical and it’s Biblical and a question for the ages: however, this student will always pay Divine Providence to the friends and folks at the Fashion Model Directory, the largest single model database in the world; also, I need to mention Bellazon , dot org; those folks are incredible! I remember when they started up and have literally watched them grow. If one needs knowledge about a model and perhaps the most up-to-date photographs anywhere, Bellazon is your place.

Just one last issue for today…I think I just received one of my biggest compliments ever since starting Simpleminds: Well this past week I got some visits and some visitors from the most exquisite fashion website in the Internet; their name is The Fashion Spot and outside of those folks, I’m not sure one could be paid a higher compliment.

Don’t Know About You…

That’s right….I don’t know about you folks, but the days sure seem to be getting shorter, the nights are seeming longer, and the brisk smell of fall is in the air!

 
Out on my normal 5 mile run yesterday I was amazed hearing the marching band at the local high school, the drum section, and just adjacent to the band was the boys and girls looking like “Friday Night Lights.”

I couldn’t possibly explain the sweet smell of freshly cut grass, a little bit of evening due, and the excitment coursing through my entire body at the reflection of memories of those Friday and Saturday nights of high school. Ahhh, maybe one day I’ll take some real time and write about it.

But for today it’s time to say bye-bye to Summer 08′ and before welcoming in Fall 08′ it’s only appropriate to have a brief perusal of this summer’s swimwear and outter accessories. What do you think?

Some of the swimwear this 2008 left quite a lot to be desired for me. I don’t know, I just couldn’t get my head around it. It looked uncomfortable to wear which is always a turn off for me; yet, at the same time the swimwear did have it’s advantages!

Many folks outside of fashion don’t see the utility of this suit on the right: Where our model (Ms. Jarosova) pulls the front together with her thumbs is also an area where the suit detaches and becomes a light singlet type top and some rather easy bottoms.

On the other hand, Anahi, our model to the left could make anything…sorry, everything look good. Although that is a magnificent suit for her and damn! Does she wear it well, the fact remains that not every lady who puts this baby on will look any thing near her!

And to your right the lovely the magnificent Barbara; yep, she’s Brazilian and we’ll be spending just about the remainder of 2008′ featuring models and fashion from Brazil.

The suit that Barbara features is known for it’s simplicity. Imagine that, eh? Well one would have a hellava time body surfing in it, or just about anything but hanging out...in more ways than one!

This next series is one of my faves! Not only are these suits easy and built for great utility, it is who’s in the suit that matters. We’ll call her “Mystery Girl” for now. However, she should be very easy to identify and the first person to identify her in the comment section here at Simpleminds will get a bonus!

Oh! Those lazy dayz of Summer

 Ahh, you never really want to admit that with these frequent rains–or certainly the folks in the southern USA–who, year after year get some kind of hurricane(s) or gawd forbid, this little area called “Tornado Alley” starts a’ howling…

As for me it’s just a bit sad really when I come to the realization that summer is coming to an end. When I was but a wee-child I grew up in an area that was 76° 330 days out of the year, then rains that were always worse insofar as the previous summer’s fires obliterated any semblence of ground cover; therefore, watching entire mountains crash into the sea, one in particular called ‘Big Rock’ that literally cut off any transportation between Malibu and Marina del Rey, CA.

 And I think that there is this synaspe that runs through my brain saying a few things: Summer’s over; back to school; no more sleepin’ in; and a whole new crop of stud-muffins to drool over!

ButI really must admit it, the thing that I wanted most out of life at that time was simply to experience the other three real seasons! Oh baby! So much can be said about the rustling of leaves on a semi-cold October or November night; or, there’s nothing like a big fire raging in the fireplace with fur rugs in front of it…and sleeping blissfully all night long!

 Nothing, absolutely nothing equals the grand finale God did when he made the feminine form! As a nice way of putting it, and I mean no disrespect, but I think he took a look at the male he made, and said, Whew! I need to make some serious changes! And I think he started with female skin.

Have you ever witnessed anything so smooth in your life? YES! But it was a baby’s bum!

 The extraordinary issue, is….[sound of drum roll..] that rarely ever do ladies, at least the one’s I know are–still the way–they were when they were born…their skin that is.

 Nicole on the immediate left is simply a treasure! Just as is Ola to the right!

And I‘m positive I’ve mentioned this before and I’ll do it to the day I die…I believe what makes a model a SUPERMODEL is in how versatile the given model is…a quick example:

This might be easy for some….but the stunner just above ~ Maria ~ all three photos are of the same person! 

Just Overwhelmed..!

Sometimes, hell most of the time it’s hard for me to decide what it is exactly what I like better between color shots or black and white.

What’s really amazing is when the photographer or creative director offers both during the same shoot. Albeit an editorial, advertorial, simple shots or really sophisticated detailed masterpieces there are times when I can’t figure out what I like better.

I think it’s “one of those…” sorts of things. At times when I see perfect lighting conditions on a b&w shot by a very creative genius…I mean, someone who can make flowers look good in b&w!

I’m sure all of us has that one special ‘black and white’ that is reserved for it’s own special place adorning either a wall or nook, and I’d go as far as too say that that photo is precisely where it belongs. Moreover, I’d even bet that there may be two or more of these b&w’s in very special places…”their very own places.”

There are certain emotions that b&w can just blow you away! When I think of the famous John Lennon “Imagine”photograph (I really must make a point of finding the photographer’s name!) or for me it is…:

Nudes! The right lighting, the right circumstances, especially the right person or people, it just seems that a lot of very, very famous photographs are in b&w. Then again, as I stated and I don’t know why, but nudes in b&w are almost their own genre.

So I decided a while back that I would like to do a b&w page one of these days so why not now? Just for fun, let’s ask this question: “What color are the pumps that Elwira’s wearing up and to the right?”

And if anyone loves the female form more than me, I haven’t met them yet. What can anyone say about those lovely white leggings our model is wearing on the upper left? Seriously, I love lace, but who or what could make a ladies bum look better?

So is it….the bum that makes the stockings or the stockings that make the bum? Good question, eh?

Just here at left is Maria who if her portfolio is any indication of where she’s headed…Moon get ready!

 And of course, last but certainly not least is ~Lisa~ (up and left) whose got it all! And then some!

 

 

 

 

Summer 08′ III

I’m trying to see if this will work so please bear with us. Thank you.

Actually what I did was create a slide show of various images–that we know you’ll love–however, WordPress, as great as they are will not allow shockwave or any semblance of java to be used. This is one of those issues that I completely understand and for all I know, it could just be me! 

But in very typical fashion I will put a link to the “Slide” presentation and if you’d like you can click on the link and have a look just for you. Anyway, the account I set up at “Slide” is basically a ‘dummy’ account meaning there isn’t any information there except some name I dreamt up whilst in a panic!

It still is in a pretty crude style right now, but seriously, how could anyone go wrong with such beautiful ladies?

No matter how many times I post here I just love doing it! As you probably can already tell (hopefully) I’ve been very, very busy of late and subsequently, all of my blogs have been suffering. But the moment I get time, it’s amazing, because I come here automatically.

 

 

Some of these images are very, very sensual; other images make me want to dream with just a bit of fantasy. Like Ivona up to the right, just chillin’ in the hammock; but damn! Doesn’t her tush just look awesome and sexy?

Images of Summer 08′ II

Most folks who frequent here already know that I maintain this site for the sheer delight of relaxation, whilst at the same time using what God has created to look at, or, in some cases even feature.

Up to this point, Simpleminds has focused a lot on models, beauty, fashion, fantasy, and things we all do but most often don’t write about them. Take kissing for example: Most people don’t write about kissing.

Oh contraire! Kissing for me is one of those human engagements that is every reason in the world NOT to be into Darwin, or his mate Spencer who coined the expression “survival of the fittest.” In fact the entire notion of evolutionist theory really is more akin to someone enjoying some serious but recreational drugs!

Another feature or series of features has been “Where have they all been hiding” which the author got her inspiration reading about two men who stumbled upon these ultra-magnificent ladies with perfect, hmmm, everything. However, not being in the modeling or fashion business, were quite surprised when especially the Russian’s, Czech’s, Canadian, and all those ‘Goddesses’ from Brazil started managing their ways into their lives.

And of course what I mean about ‘managing their ways into their lives’ is the notion that it was the men who began looking at fashion, especially the beauty aspect of the industry.

From “Where have they all been Hiding” brought forth a thematic series of “The Ladies of…” and focused on particular countries and highlighting the female aura of those countries.

And now Summer Images 08′. What humankind has done with textiles and various fabrics to this day astonishes me! I mean fabric I would never have had a clue about and it turns into ‘metallic’s’ or ‘exotic furs’ or every kind of ’stretchy-material’ one could imagine, and yet hasn’t.

Therefore as for me and our quasi-committee here at Simpleminds this site is for relaxation, fun, enjoyment, and keeping the notion of featuring models, fashion, and beauty in good taste. CHEERS!
