ARGENTINA!!

Hey! And welcome (back) to Simpleminds! We like to do things easy around here, so if you want to read, join in a cup of coffee or tea, of course, or a brew, or even spirits we don’t mind. We just want you to relax and enjoy yourself.

Whew! Thanks for joining in on our ‘Mid-Week Madness and the End-Week Madness’ it sure helped to make some preparations for the stunningly awesome Argentinean’s!

Seriously, whilst putting this little piece together I was flat overwhelmed by the magnificence not only of the Nation, I mean it is more diverse than the U.S.A., meaning mountains, hills, miles and miles of beaches, rainforests, desert, cowboys, and beef and more beef. 

I’ve got to admit however, that I was caught off guard by the overwhelming amount and successes of the gorgeous, luscious ladies from the southern hemisphere. What caught me off guard, was that for years-get this-years I’ve been admiring the work, glamour, presence, and just as classy as anyone can come.

Argentina has had a long and quite lively tenure in fashion modeling. In fact there are so many notable ladies that we’ve decided to offer this in two installments:

One, the first installment will feature some of the more tenured ladies who really not only make their mark on the modeling world, but as I saw them on cover after cover it dawned on me that there must be an endless supply.

Two, the second installment, hopefully very soon to follow will feature some of the sizzling sensations that are following so remarkably in their mentor’s footsteps.

So there’s the plan…hope you enjoy!!

End Week Madness!

Well folks I, believe it or not don’t have all that much to say this week. I need a bit of downloading and ‘me time’ for relaxing.

And as you all know just too well, relaxing for me always requires the magnificent assistance of God’s greatest creation…ladies.

So join in please, have an eye-full of how He out did well, himself.  

Sort of got myself into this black and white photography thing for now.

I really don’t know precisely what it is…seriously, I can’t quite put my finger on it.

However, there are some qualities about a black and white that seen any other way would not have the same impact.

And of course, the same holds true for the other side as well. Color photography does the exact same thing with the exact same effect or affect however the shot grabs you.

Yet this much I do know there are some photographs that just wouldn’t like right in color or the others in b&w. Go figure…it really gives me a brain massage, but not now…enjoying this too much right now.

             

Well I hope you’re enjoying this, I just have but a few more to go…the following photographs are for the pleasure of human form! 

I believe the photo in the middle (bottom) of this page is perhaps the best way one could ever describe the affects of black, white, and color. ENJOY!!

Mid-week Madness!

I am really excited about how this model by country feature is going. Of course without the help and assistance from my friends over at The Fashion Model Directory I would be seriously, if not completely handicapped.

At FMD they feature what is referred to as “the largest model database on the Internet” and I have no question whatsoever that they do. They also have some very, very cool moderators too! If you need to identify a model, or we’ve all done this one: “Where have I seen her before?!” Then sure enough you’re ready for FMD!

I also want to give a shout out to my mates and colleagues over at bwgreyscale.com. This site has been around for years and is well-established and very, very fair. The index of editorial scans is simply unparalleled as is the majority of the index of advertisers. When it comes to classy sites like bwgreyscale.com  one is in awe of the expert Id’ers that have been there-internationally-for years.

Okay then…onward and upward as they say to: Mid-Week Madness! We have been featuring a theme of “Where have they all Been,” of course with reference to these lovely and highly dignified models that are featured with where they are originally born. That story of “Where have they been…” is a post in itself and maybe later.

Yet I came into some holiday time and have been wanting to go with thisMid-Week Madness! Theme since we began. So here goes: Everyone who’s ever had a website, blog, or BB out there knows that various and sundry requests come in; moreover, when one looks at the ’search engine’ analytics, various names are sought more than others.

My hope here is two fold: (1) To allow agents, management, and especially the models that they are getting a lot of demand here; and (2) For the folks who are eagerly searching for their favorite models.

It could take at least a full year of weekly posting to feature only a small portion of Brazil’s greatest natural resources-the country’s models; and like Alesandra Ambrosio says, “Everyone in Brasil (my country) is like this-I am just an ordinary girl and there are so many better than me…” Hummmm!

So here goes…the number one most sought after female model for March and April 08′ is Caroline Trentini.

Certainly for me the phenomenon that accompanies Ms. Trentini is in the notion that most of the photographs seen here are when she was anywhere from 18 to 20 years of age. That of course is the easy part; how she has handled her success, fame, and stardom are to be envied!

OMG! It’s the Colombian’s!

In this very small offering of the gorgeous and heavenly ladies of Colombia my aim is to feature a couple of the ‘longer’ established ligitimate ’super’s’ to the lesser known, and of course, the ladies who are indeed putting their nation back on the map! 

One of the great happenings about featuring up-and-coming younger models in their pursuit to become like their ‘Icons’ the far more established and well-known Supermodels is the amount that I am able to learn about each of the nations that I feature.

The amount of material I have known about the United Kingdom-well all of my ancestor’s are located there-and the more I learned about Bulgaria just by taking the time to look-up some sources has been very, very rewarding. Whoever on the planet Earth dreamt up this idea that American’s are stuffy and don’t care about the other nations in the world, obviously never really ‘knew’ any real American worth their salt!

I make no qualms whatsoever, but all of the American’s I know are literally entranced, moreover, enthralled about countries other than their own. No bull here gang; American’s are far more interested in the nations of south eastern Europe, Africa, and especially Brazil and all of South America than anything in America.

So with the love  C-O-L-O-M-B-I-A-N-S they have shown us, I have had the opportunity to actually live (not visit!) in Cali, Columbia. When I was there it was strongly alleged that the most beautiful women in the world came from Cali. I was treated with dignity, respect, and here’s a hint for all traveling Americano’s: Learn the language of your host country!

Simply trying to speak the Spanish I learned through 8-years of schooling growing up in Southern California with them afforded me more opportunities than the run of the mill tourist.  Oh yeah, there were snickers from the ‘little ones’ and every now and again, the adults would smile politely if not laugh insofar as my accent, case, structure, grammar, and syntax were at times-terrible, nonetheless, I was in there trying my best!

And they knew that! They were far more interested in speaking English than Columbian Spanish, and I was far more interested in chatting with my friends in Spanish…suffice it to say we all managed wonderfully.

The Beautiful Bulgarians!

Southeastern Europe: You know the entire area-Romania, Macedonia, Slovakia, Serbia, Turkey, and Hungary-have this mysticism about them. Bulgaria is right up there at the top.

For a Westerner who has been raised on everything stereotypical southeastern Europe, from gorgeously stunning gypsies with their seemingly dark, deep-set eyes.

Add to that the mysteriously vanishing ‘vampirela’s’ with the bright, long fangs just waiting to suck your blood out; needless to say, there are a couple of yea’s in this scenario, buy mostly just a lot of nay’s made up.

Yet please don’t get me wrong here…there is a clairvoyant quality about these models that I’m positive keeps not only the photographer bedazzled, but also the folks who admire these Bulgarian beauties. 

 

Seriously, can anyone explain to me or any of my friends why there appears to be an Aura above and around Teodora, who is at right?

Yet, as mysteriously sexy creatures they seem to be, there is always that other side of a woman that just seems as sweet and innocent as anyone could be.                     

You betcha, all shapes, sizes, and a mystique all of their own, I’m sure that each one of these ravishingly radiant ladies has a caldron or two!  Just ask Silvia, don’t let the hat fool you!     

Yet somehow I am not sure if I will ever look a lovely lady like either Silvia to the left, or Teodora to the right, directly into the eyes!

 And hopefully for this installment anyway, two of my favorite photographs of all time: One is of Silvia R. on the bottom right and the other is of course,  is Tania I. on the left. 

There are so many talented and huge supermodels to come out of Bulgaria it’s not all too easy to confine all of them to one page. However, I must say this with my entire knowledge and a lot of information gathering in preparation for this article: Bulgaria is much like Canada with it’s new and up-coming talent. ENJOY!

Back to those Brits!

As I was saying in the last post, in today’s fashion world and the sophistication of today’s models it is nearly impossible to try and put even the well-known models on one page; let alone someone like Kate Moss or Caroline Salisbury who could have pages upon pages on being a supermodel. Just upper left is one of the hugely successful British models headed for super stardom–Lilly Cole.
 

Incidentally I do not pass around with any grain of salt. As for me, outside of the stunning glamour models, the sheer lines of the parts models, and of course, the bountiful beauty models, only the few and very far between ever really reach what I call a supermodel. Yet if there is, have a look at the sexiest woman alive–Liberty Ross at lower left.

This is a very, very rare title that is only granted to the few who actually rise to this stature. Every designer, artist, make-up person, cosmetic company, perfume company, textile manufacturer, lingerie company, and certainly not limited too the likes of Madison or Park Avenue. On right famous Lizzy Jagger; yep, of course she’s related to the Rolling Stones’, Mick.

Entering into the realm of the supermodel must be a life…you call it whatever; I’ll call it: Beyond exciting, never a dull moment, flirtatious, fun, harder than hell, yet worth every quid of it, pampered, and yet seemingly never alone, but at times lonely. I believe that the life they live is perhaps harder and more difficult than just about any other profession on earth. The stunning Rosie Huntington-Whietley at lower left (in lavish lingerie).

 

However, just like everything else on our great planet again various cultures and the industry folks within those societies seem to allow the bar of real supermodel-dom to go lower and lower and lower, for them.

Let me ask this question: How long has Kate Moss been on top? If we go beyond the obvious and look to what she has endured during her tenure as a model, I am positive that I, like anyone else would have been crushed and flattened under the pressure.

There is just something about British girls; perhaps, for most of us, that same sort of mystique that hovers over say, the world famous elite Brazilian bomb shells, or the great German’s, or whew! Wait until we get to Spain! Each one of these aforementioned countries certainly brings their presents to the party!

Yet again, we will get to them…as long as I’m alive; but who can compete with  Frankie Rayder? There is a combination that is the best and brightest, Lizzy and Frankie. 

Deadly! Do you see the stunning, drop-dead lady just to the right? She is indeed perhaps the world’s best known step-daughter, Daisy, Gwen Stefani’s step and Gavin’s daughter. As a total compliment………..she reminds me of a young Liberty Ross; except that Daisy is a lot sexier! Every photo I’ve seen of her just drips with her sexiness!

                                                            

Where Have they All Been…

Those beautiful Brits! I am not sure if there is any place on earth that has the unmitigated distinction of producing the ‘complete lady’ like the British. Just a teeny tiny bit of history from across the pond…

During the 1920-30s when Hollywood first got the film rolling, stardom, in those days was completely different than it is perceived today. Suffice it to state that ‘celebrity’ is no where near stardom.

Nonetheless, as Hollywood began literally hand-cranking the films out soon became instant recognition, and with that new found blessing or curse, the new star was heralded with luxury, red carpets, Rolls Royce’s, jewelry, and a lifestyle that was as foreign to them as Egypt.

Long story short, the American actors and actresses, although very versed in acting, there was indeed one thing they didn’t know to do, and no director around to tell them how to dazzle with manners, decorum, or even set a table properly in their newly built castles. Oh no! Entertaining in Hollywood or Beverly Hills without so much as a Texan or Illinois up-bringing. We are talking ‘crisis in Tinseltown!’

Immediately those newly crowned stars made journeys to the United Kingdom for ‘Lessons in Proper-ness’ or ‘The How-To Guide’ of being a cultured, polite, sweet, proper, tea-time at two o’clock drinking matrons that got it right only by the training of the staff’s they’d hired in England.

So other than Russia, Canada, or Israel, many of the real trailblazers—Queens, models, the quintessential lady who knows how to be gorgeous, fashionable, spot on, and dead right for every occasion with impeccable manners and classy of the classiest let them all be British! 

What possibly could be stated about so many who have held the title of ‘Supermodel’ so proudly and for so long? The irony would have it that ‘Twiggy’ who, at a staggeringly young age became one of the worlds first and real pop princesses. Understanding ‘Twiggy’ would be at parody with something like, the iPod. 

This is one lady who literally changed the way a world looked at fashion, glamour, beauty, simplicity, and style. Up and to the left is my ALL TIME fave from England, the gorgeous goddess Caroline. And of course clockwise from Caroline, is the magnificent Ms. Kate Moss. Just below Kate is of course one of Britain’s newest wonders, Lady Lily, who is a phenomena.

Hopefully I will be able to feature a few more but first: Perhaps England’s greatest ever fashion model, Ms. Kate Moss. (At top right.) And on the left, does she need an introduction? She’s Kate Beckinsale! 

I have decided that to feature most Nations’ ladies is going to take more than one posting…I know I owe Russia and Israel more; and the classy ladies of Britian as well…until next time!

Second Kiss BETTER than the first?

This is an entire new effort insofar as a couple of things caught my mind the last time we visited the true sentiment of KISSING…One, I never really looked at it this way before, but I may have some kind of kissing hang-up or fetish; or perhaps the more accurate, there is not too much more I can possibly think of that is more simple, steamy, sexy, tasty, and outright wholesome than a simple KISS.

Far be it from me, so let’s just look at the master’s:  This is of course from the famous Rodin’s “The Kiss“ actually completed in 1888 in it’s rudimentary form a small relief of porcelain. Please see Rodin’s (pronounced ro-dan) mini bio here.

Now then I have never been an advocate for using any of the Wiki’s as valid source citations for academic research; therefore, I just recommended this Wiki site insofar as it does contain some reasonable dates, facts, and insights into this incredible artist’s life. It is a short read and anyone with any culture or is desirous of learning some absolutely magnificent issues, please then, this is a must read.

So please, don’t mind me, I just have this academic integrity thing after years of educating; and if your teachers or professors do not want you using Wikipedia, then don’t!  However, on the other hand, at a different cite I learned that Rodin intentionally never has the lovers lips meet! I know I’ve written on this before vis-a-vie the erotic nature of the ‘close as possible without actually touching, pre-kiss’ either as a base for anticipation growing, or another way of looking at this would be to wonder if these two were interrupted?

And then again we must take time for any and all practice we can get, don’t you think? There are so many ways of getting that much needed ‘practice makes perfect’ style that makes for so much delight.

Just look at this beautiful model on the left who is engaging is the simple act of eating. Damn! No…double damn!! What a way to perfect tongue technique and not only for kissing! (At left is Emily.)

Now for a weekly montage—nothing in any specific order, just some delightful depictions along the way. Oops! Sorry again, my bad here. We will be getting back to our perusal of the fantastic feminine form by country soon. So if my friends in Brazil and Czechoslovakia and Poland, and of course the Scandinavia’s can enjoy the kissing of the moment, I say “Thank you.” (bottom right: only April could wear that dress!)

                                

         

 

 

How Can a Kiss Ever Become Mundane?

And Lord have mercy, please let me never experience a day when that ‘kiss’ is from my best friend, friend, acquaintance, or the one who shares the marvelous magic of when two lover’s are joined lip to lip ever become mundane.

It’s not like I go around 24/7 thinking about kissing; well, maybe 20/7 because so much can be learned, enjoyed, enhanced, enthralled, and ecstaticized, that the entirety of life changes with something so innocent as the sweet touch of the lips.

In reality I don’t care when it is either…before work when my loved one is still dozing peacefully in our bed; or if its early morning after a night of pure unadulterated raging, dancing, romancing, somehow when we kiss another person some kind of magic happens, it’s some kind of wonderful!

Who can really explain this delicious dessert? How could anyone explain that just the thought of kissing someone after dinner out, or meeting up at the café for coffee and sweets, which makes my heart pound as though it’s coming through my chest? People! We are talking about the ‘thought’ of kissing.

Who could possibly understand what the hell is going on when we meet that ’someone’ we know we just long to kiss? Some call it ‘chemistry;’ others, believe it the pheromones. As for me, a kiss is so divine, so impeccably perfect that if it’s all the same—I’d just as soon be lost in “that place” where I think it is just a slice of heaven that nothing can disturberate! I am sure that practicing is quite okay…don’t you?

And far be it from me…but what is ‘IT’ that makes two ladies kissing so over-the-top gorgeous and sexy?

Cut! Tryin’ Something New

This is a unique experiment. We, as you can tell, decided to change our look. And did we ever! So for this post I am trying some new things with colors, grayscale, and other image shifting, sizing, and the works.
I am going to use a fair bit of black and white and try and blend them in with some pastels and other softer colors.



As long as I’m using models, actors, and other beautiful items of God’s creation, I don’t really think it’s going to be that difficult.

So here goes! Actually by the time I’m done I hope to have a graduating sense of black, gray, pastel, and moving of course to some rather bold and loud colors but as always in good taste.

You know some of this can be really demanding insofar as at Simpleminds, we always do our level best to bring artistic combinations of beauty, glamour, couture, and at times with a little edginess.

So a couple of posts back I mention during the ‘Ladies from Israel’ that there existed this unique and at least in the Middle East a rather well-known photo I refer to as ’Releasing the Dove’? Well there it is over to the left and up with Esti.
 
  Unknown to most the photograph on the left is without question, hands down the most sought after photograph here at Simpleminds. Without question there are more ‘hits’ for this photograph than almost all others combined. As for me, I congratulate these two lovelies, both top 25 “Most Desired” and most actively working models. Brrraaavvvvooooo! Ladies!!
