Okay…nice to be back — if there is one particular thing that I love about this blog it is that it really is non-specific about — everything! Moreover, it was designed to be just that. This blog was put together for the sole purpose of being able to chill-out, relax (combine the two) chilax, kick back, listen to music, and let the mind and fingers do the communicatin’ if you know what I mean.

When we first established this blog we needed a name — Ut oh! No planning went into this in the least, but how about no name for starters? We just wanted to put up photographs of models we know, some we don’t, but most of all we wanted to give the models the credit for everything they do. Have you ever been looking at a magazine, television, billboard, or any advertisement for that matter and everyone from the manicurist to the film loader gets credit –literally, everyone except the most important feature in the ad — the models!

In no short order we decided to do precisely the opposite. In the earliest posts and articles on this blog every model was mentioned by name. In fact, we’d take ads directly out of magazines and make sure we got the model’s names correct just so they’d get the credit they deserved — even Natalie L. at right with the very unique eyes.

To this very day…at the precise time of writing this little ditty, let me introduce to you one of my all time faves…Amanda H. just to the left. This is one of the greatest photographs I’ve ever seen her in and that is saying a lot insofar as I have followed her career. Amanda has done so many shows, campaigns, and advertorials that it is hard to put a finger on any one particular — with the exception of this one – she is just so radiant!

Drum roll please! Just below on the hardwood floor is an amazing young model. We have simply been covering her cute status since about day one of her modeling days…or so we think anyway. It would be difficult to say which editorial she did first but the one where we became aware of Olga E. was in a beautiful Benetton spread. The theme behind the editorial was that of being excited with friends all fabulously dressed — decked out like ‘back to school’ excitement. 

From that instant we began to take special attention with everything we could either gather, collect, or dig for keeping a watchful eye on Olga She’s also done some extensive work in a Lady Enyce campaign as well as for Target Stores.   

Although we know that the photograph chosen for this article is awesome, we nonetheless, look forward to featuring her more and more and more. We refer to her as ‘The One, the Only, Olga.’

And of course, featured on the left is none other than Flippa Hamilton, one of the most sought after and famous models working today. She is the consummate ‘Ralph Lauren’ girl and is featured on all Lauren’s ’Black Label’ high line fashion items.

This is the same model who was the victim of such a horrid scandal involving photo-shopping images that rocked just about everyone in the print,  audio & visual industry — especially those magazines that feature advertising as their main source of existence. This is the real Flippa - and at publication we have had zero confirmation as to whether this shot was altered.

As for Miyuki, the model below and right we’ve had this photograph for eons…years and this is the first time we’vebeen able to feature it. Maybe you can figure it out as to why. We hope so and we’ll wait until someone responses with why we waited to long to actually produce this photo, it’s really not that big of a deal — it is a great photo and she is absolutely stunning! 

Now then does anyone have a clue to what this post is about?

As for this new article we’ve been caught between the cross-hairs of wanting to go with a complete black and white theme or go with full color to brighten up the pages. Therefore, during the preparation for this article — mostly lay-out and who we wanted to feature — by the time we had come to consensus as to what we aspired to do, low and behold this is what we came up with before writing a word.                      

Whew! And did we ever! We included the luminescent black and white (left), basic black and white (below right), and some antique black and white showing marvelous talent with the arm and hand (lower left).

And again it is the full color shots that will spark attention for this posting. Just below is a photograph of a couple of friends of yours truly that I’ve been wanting to share for eons; all things being equal, it is a marvelous advertorial but can you guess for what? Oh yes…it hasn’t been published insofar as we hadn’t spoken with anyone in the shoot and unless the shots are public domain or within the guidelines of the Creative Commons we’d prefer not to engage in any misgivings.

As most regular readers and on-lookers already know we honor the integrity of every model that has ever been featured on this site. Again, one of our greatest intentions is to give them as much, or more exposure as possible. That’s the way that most models live — someone sees ‘a look’ or a representation of their branding and the calls start a coming and any booker worth his or her salt can set it up instantly.

One further statement about the photograph to the left is the notion of fantasy — that is the entire mystique and glamour behind just going crazy and getting nutz or even naughty in the back of a limousine. 

So there you go fellas…there is a true fantasy of almost every friend or acquaintance I know. Try it out, if you haven’t already — it is absolutely amazing for the stamina and as most of us will readily admit, there’s nothing quite like the feel of cool leather or even vinyl on one’s naked skin. I’ve actually been told that entire plans have gone array once the festivities begin! 

Gosh I love that entire photograph; there’s something about it that is so expressive — so gentle, rowdy, ‘Euro whatever’ and a real handful enough for both of them! As for me, I think it’s the champagne!      

Moving on just a bit now, what can be said about that arm work?  T-A-L-E-N-T!! Actually I knowhow the photographer set up this shot — but do you know? Actually it is really amazingly interesting how great photographers can take the seemingly smallest details and make them the high light of the shot. The again you already know how much a truly great photographer makes images appear in an artwork all of their own.

 Whilst on a ‘Blog Crawl’ the other day I ran into this article — of course heavily inspired by the shot immediately to the right — that by the looks of the picture that dealt with some kind of female pleasure. So being intrigued as I was I read the article — which turned out to be rather brilliant! So I say to myself, ‘…I need to get the link of this article and share it with our loyal readers for and on behalf of those women, you know, that can make things really easy or really difficult.’ It was a refreshing read and indeed the most open and up-front disclosure by just about anyone I know. Give it a read.

And lastly for this article, I have this really good i-friend who is becoming a model and she is killing em’. Every post she writes, and every outfit she shares is like the most up-beat and trendy thing every put together.

She is also one of those people who is just a stunner; you know the kind, no matter what they have on — they look awesome! Well one of these days maybe she’ll pop on by this site and give this article a read. Why? Well having just a bit of experience in these matters – fashionista – it is definitely time in her young career to wear and model what Ms. Jessie is wearing below. It is definitely time for her (my i-buddy) to strut her stuff.

Oh yes…just one more thing…she has her own photographer who is growing a a rate that is almost as fast as her subject is as a model. A shout-out to all of my friends at Chess.com and I can never, ever leave out The Fashion Model Directory, and to my friends — you know who and where you are. Cheers!! 

It wasn’t until I became involved with fashion — fashion models in particular — that I realized that a lot of and I want to espouse that the majority of the Top 50 fashion models to whatever degree have some Asian in their ethnic make-up. 

Interestingly for me personally is that this fact leaped into my consciousness when I started covering Russian models! It’s like ‘Go figure, right?’

Yet knowing of the Asian component, moreover, the expanse of Russian ‘Sovietism’ I started looking a top fashion models in a completely different way. The days of measurements, height, weight, and style appeal were gone; yet the days of bone structure, entire facial composition, as well as limbs in relation to the human form altogether had only just begun.  

And here is a real gift — skin and a sense of embracing beautiful. Over a period of time I began to realize that just about everyone I looked at was part Asian! Now then…the degree or percentage make-up to me is of very little concern if at all. In fact, there are a lot of folks who believe that half caucasian and have Asian children (‘Hoppa’) are the most well suited combination of humankind. As for me, that is a matter in which I have no mastery or level of competence whatsoever. Seriously say we take a lovely lady from the Dominican Republic and she marries a man who is 1/2 Japanese and 1/2 European. Furthermore, I am convinced that the reasons that Brazil and Russia have so many beautiful women is in the notion that both ethnic groups and Asians have had a wonderful history of surviving at the most difficult times — together.  

As for me it wasn’t until I was in the position to start identifying models in various campaigns and advertorials that I started noting this one or that one had Asian features. Think of it kind of like this: Why does everyone’s jaw drop when they see Kristen Kreuk? How about Lucy Liu?

Sometimes, actually most of the time that we see these stunning people we know, yet, we just don’t acknowledge or understand what makes them so spectacular. When I look at Jessica Alba, or Joy Nakayama, or Anna Watanabe I am immediately reminded how talented and fabulously looking these ladies are.

Then again in every aspect that life deals us, there will always be a standout person of Asian descent; sports — figure skating, diving, sumo wrestling, golf (of course we haven’t forgotten about Tiger Woods!) tennis, and especially medicine. Please understand that this is not a posting for ‘our favorite Asian’ award; it is a posting to say, “Hey! Look at the beauty and talent of these folks!”

Right then…this week we’ve looked at some people who have Asian to whatever degree or percentage one of these models may have shared with another nationality or ethnic group.

Our next post is going to focus only on the ‘pure-breds’ albeit Japanese, Chinese, Filipino, Korean, and Vietnamese.

Yet if only for a moment we would like to say something about Devon Aoki who is pictured in the lower right. Devon is a major model success and moreover she is also quite the box office sensation as well. She’s not only been in, but starred in all of the ‘Sin City’s’ and numerous others as well as commercials.

And just as always we’d like to thank each of our models here: Akemi, Olga, Devon, Jarah, Stephanie, and Mick. But most of all we’d like to thank and give a huge ’shout out!’ to The Fashion Model Directory and the fine crew they have maintaining their site.

It is one of those sites that changes almost every time one goes there.

 Just a quick ’shout out’ to our friends! Hiya gang — enjoying the site? This site is dedicated to our Creator for his magnificent work of creation. In particular, we want to say ‘thank you god’ for out doing yourself endlessly.    

Every time we think we’ve seen the majesty of your handiwork we, somehow, are simply amazed at what we see and experience. We mean, take a look at Anastassia to the left. Have you ever seen such long lines? Better still is her muscles that support her every inch. She seems so comfortable just cruisin’ through those sandy mountains — looking as though she doesn’t have a care in the world.

For this particular segment we would like to look at how some of the big Madison Avenue advertiser’s use the lovely gifts one is endowed with at birth to promote their or a company’s products.

A couple of issues come immediately to mind when we address advertising; namely, advertising is a medium that can either work for you, or, precisely the opposite meaning, if the general public is offended with the ad then it does work against your product. In reality there have been great advertising campaigns where companies have flourished; however, there are other circumstances that have so offended the buyers at large that regardless of how great the product is, it is not going to sell.

That is about enough of an introduction for advertising. One issue that we want to look at in particular is that some advertising giants simply go over-the-top with the exploitation of women on the one hand, and on the other hand it seems as though more and more advertisers are pushing the edge constantly with sex and or sensuality splashed all over the ad.

Therefore for this particular article we’ve decided to feature a few suggestive advertisements and ask YOU to comment or give feedback as to what you feel. Cool? Thank you.

Throughout this article some of the world’s most gorgeous women are featured. Yet, we would like to ask EVERYONE what the meaning of the advertisement is, what is being promoted, and a look at how it’s being promoted. For example just to the left is a stunning model who appears to be having a bit of water to drink.

However upon closer perusal it doesn’t take a genius to sort out what is going on in the photograph. Anyone please share with us why is the model licking her middle finger with droplets of water dripping off of her hand?         

Far be it from us but the seductive look in the model’s eyes doesn’t exactly make the faucet jump out at us. If you look closely the photo is basically a lady with her head over a faucet and it appears that she’s getting a drink of water. Yet for some reason we don’t think that the focus of the ad is water, sink, or the trendy new faucet.           

Now is the stunning model at right promoting the “crop growers of the world” or is it a jewelry ad? For all we know it certainly could be a nail polish ad featuring the the new strawberry color. Or on the other hand is the advertisement could be for toothpaste, mouth wash, or facial foundation. The model is awesome!  

If the cover of i-D magazine is selling anything what do you suppose it is? We’re still have a bit of difficulty with this one. We certainly know what it looks like and the quote from the model, Agyness, at the bottom of the cover “Feel the fear and do it anyway” really sort of goes along with a few other cliches we aware of namely, “If you can’t be with the one you love, honey, love the one you’re with.”

With the greatest of respect for the magazine and how quickly Agyness has risen in her young career it has just been phenomenal! All things being considered however, we think that the quote on the magazine cover may just as well be “Catch”. What is the fear she alludes too? Moreover, how does one train a model to strike that pose?

Now, just out of courteousy, what do you suppose is being advertised in the photo to the right? Don’t get us wrong, we love the photograph, and who cares what’s being advertised — but what is the focus of the ad?

Then again as we look at the stunning model on the left, amidst the forest alongside the river bank, carrying that gorgeous guitar, and I guess taking a break from a long session of music…or something.

What is the significance of the popsicle? Better still anyone notice the chain that adorns her entire trunk? Anyone also notice the smashed and crumpled grass behind her? Is it like multi-tasking — or being able to do several things at once? Heck if we know; therefore, we attribute this to simply great art! If one takes the likes of the magnificent model (one definitely could do no wrong) yet with the dress hiked up, holding the guitar, and sucking on a popsicle is fabulous art.

Although we can all come to the conclusion that a model’s job is to model; subsequently there comes a great degree of acting which again supports our theory that models are easily trained or natural actors, because they are interacting with the products and photographers all shoot long.

 And these are the kind of photo artsy type of advertising that I love! Most of you have probably already seen this advertisement — its very common on the Internet — yet I just love optical illusions. So what do you think this is an advertisement for — thong lingerie, panties or what?

We cannot possibly speak for everyone — but this much we can — the female anatomy is a testimont to our Creator’s handiwork! When I see the likes of young Viktoria (left) it is hard for me to think of evolution, Darwin, Spencer, or any other ‘we crawled out of the sea’ types. Seriously! Just look at her!

Every single curve of her looks like a brilliant sculpture — I mean she looks like the type of lady that got all of the best parts of every woman ever conceived. Notice the curvature of her lower back, and the flatness of her tummy; moreover, what can be said about that bum! Her skin is so tight on her she looks as though one could just sit and bounce coins off of her legs. 

 What could ever be said about the model cum stunner below and to the right? Her modeling portfolio is indeed larger than any agency or website could ever hold. I have no idea how many times she’s been photographed by the world’s most renowned shutterbugs but this we will say for sure: Flippa was born to model.

She is simply spectacular and has been since she started at the age of 16 years old. And yes!! That is Flippa just below in her first ever campaign…for Ralph Lauren no less! Most models work a careers worth to be one of ‘Ralph’s girls’ but Flippa with her abundant blessings was actually recruited by Ralph Lauren himself.

 Just for the sake of formality, on the left is Flippa at 16 years of age in the Lauren campaign for “Romance” perfume.

 And just below to the left is another very, very recent photograph of Flippa in a magnificent lingerie campaign.

We’re really not certain if we could ever say enough about her. Young, well-read, successful, intelligent, and drop dead gorgeous all in one.

Center and just below is the magnificent ‘Megan Mac.’ Who much like Flippa started at a very young age…perhaps around 13 to 14 years of age. Megan is forever a Sports Illustrated model and it would be close to see if anyone has appeared in the magazine more times than she. A consummate professional and always working hard, Ms. Megan has of sorts been so blessed in this business that she is having indeed what most espouse as either her second wind or maybe her third go around, however, more popular than ever! 

And then we all have some of our own faves like Viktoria just to the left and Elsa just over here below and to the right.   What can possibly be said about Elsa? She’s been at the top of the modeling industry forever; moreover, this SI Swinsuit cover has been voted the Best Cover of all Time for SI.          

Here we are again…another time for sharing friends with friends and hopefully getting that heart rate up just a bit whilst marveling at some of the most gorgeous females in the world who never see the the world from the Askmen.com’s top 100 list.

Quite openly, when I see some of the ladies who’ve made the list — as well as what number they come in at never ceases to amaze me.

However, will all due credit to Askmen.com they are not the one’s who allegedly make the decisions — it’s supposed to be the public voting that does it. And this year there just might be some crediability to that:

Earlier I was at the site a couple of weeks ago and noticed that Katherine Heigl was listed at number one! Well, needless to say I was thrilled beyond words. Katherine Heigl is quite special to me in so many ways. She is a multi-talented person who just seems able to do it all. She does things that are so cute and I’m not even sure the theater audience knows or even sees her greatness.  

Seriously, I remember when I first saw her — it was a film, a Steven Seagal film even where she played his 16-year-old niece. I thought her performance was quite good all things being equal. Yet, when I used up every source I have, all my bribe money, and all my ’seed’ money just to get more information on her and it was like nothing I’d ever seen or experienced before or since!

It was like this shroud of mystery and silence around her. I knew she was special then, and she’s developed into an even more special person now some 33 films later, the number one show on television in Gray’s Anatomy (Isabel), and whether she’s Knocked Up or seen in 27 Dresses!

Just one last itty-biddy about Katherine ‘Kate” Heigl: She’s as real  In other words she’s the real deal! 

While we may get older, they never do!

Feeling pretty good today on just about everything. Mind you it is hard to be all squished in, that feeling of the inability to move, you know, really get out and stretch!

Anyone familiar with this writer or this blog knows how we love to exercise; albeit, training for cycling, running, swimming, volleyball, baseball, or whatever sport you’re in too. The simple sensation of getting out and working out with friends is awesome.

Now think of it this way — please be reminded that everyone thinks about this almost obsessively — but one must conclude that working out with those finely tuned and toned bodies is a real statement for God’s handiwork.

Truth be told, we are not talking about “The Club” or any other place where people go to perv. Goodness NO! In fact for many of my friends and me the whole “Club” scene had gotten so out of control that it became difficult to achieve what one had set out to do in the first place.

And what could be worse than being stared at — continuously — by guys who appear to be salivating — drooling all over themselves? And I’m not even talking about myself here…try to be far too humble for that…but some of my friends, both male and female, could twist a neck like something out of the Exorcist.

I think that it is the season; Summertime and the livin’ is easy… or so we’re told. This much I do know…during the summer folks wear less, train harder, sweat more, and who could think of a better combination than that!?

Don’t misunderstand me whatsoever, please! I mean Emma Watson in Burbury is like a tiny slice of heaven…early here on earth.

Furthermore, any number of what walks down the runway deserves their just ado, for making some really poor looking stuff draw ‘Oohs and Ahhs from every one within eye shot.

Seriously I wonder how many “models” made the designer rather than the other way around?

 And once again to my friends and colleagues over at The Fashion Model Directory – the undisputed largest database of models on earth. Gonna give some shout-outs now: My i-friend Bakedzito, Sis-d, and of course, KLee, and I would like to mention a lovely blog, magnificent is a better word, Asian Models.com as well as the models blog.

You probably wouldn’t know without me telling you, as I have done so before, that the posting we did on Argentina have been viewed by more than twice as many readers — visitors than several second, third and fourth choices.

We realize that there could be any number of reasons for this; however, we can’t even attempt to discern why that statistic is so overwhelming. In light of the postings, we did two postings featuring the models and ladies of Argentina compared to over six separate postings for Brazil, and at least three for Czechoslovakia. 

That is my friends one of the nature’s of fashion — for example — could a person wear a full length D&G gown to a show say in Buenos Aries? May it never be! The ladies would be terribly uncomfortable  (unless they were naked under their gowns) and the men, wouldn’t be wearing much after the first pass (on the runway, folks!). Hmm, have you ever wondered why the folks are so scantily clad?

As for me I believe a lot of it depends on the culture — my impressions in many, many countries  the people are far less inhabited than their American counterparts. Why? Maybe it’s the men? Maybe their better at lusting, who knows? Maybe everyone isn’t so obsessed with sex, or maybe that notion is looked at completely different than in the American society.

As for me, it sems to boil down to a cultural enigma. The oddity here is that in America there is far more public display of affection (PDA) than the South American countries I’ve either visited or lived in.

It also seems to me there is a huge difference between the art of having sex and how such seems to be measured outside of America. Simply put, sex and physical endeavors are far more likely to happen in America. Whereas, in Argentina sex is something for after marriage.

One is not likely to find the ‘average’ Argentine school girl uploading naked photographs of herself to her boyfriend either by use of the hand held camera or the ’sex tape’ from the motion side of things.

Believe it or not…I was enjoying a show the other night on network television when a female in  junior in high school was with a guy from her high school and she asked about the sex tape — like it was something to be coveted. Actually it was ‘everyone else has em’ like it is a cultural norm. I don’t know…is it?

Briefly stated here, Argentine ladies adore the human form — they love it and certainly appreciate it; however, they do not lust about it and it certainly is not a focal point of parties, or even at the beach.

These ladies are extremely modest and mostly shy.

 Every now and then one just needs to say, “Hey WTF” slow down a little bit, smell some clean fresh air, delve into a drop or two of your tastiest beverage, whiff the bouquet of freshly cut flowers, AND really appreciate God’s creation. Any questions? 

I realize that I can’t–nor will I attempt to speak for anyone on this matter, but I think God out did himself when he made Eve.

In fact, I believe that God made Eve and blessed her with a unique ability to be a precise replica of every person’s vision of what she looked like. I know it’s a bit out there, but…..

What I mean is that every decade, generation, and century has their own version of what Eve looked like. Okay…no problem. However, have you ever run into a lady and just in the back of your mind, you mutter something like, “I’ll be that’s what Eve must have looked like…” C’mon gang! I know that I’ve had my versions of Adam; then I have had some, “Oh sheeeit!! After you God broke the mold type Adam’s.

Did you see the film Juno? The film about the decision-making of  a sixteen year old lady whether to keep her baby, or go the ‘let’s get rid of it’ route?

Juno, the lead character in the film was played by Ellen Page who is one of my all time faves…damn she’s a great actress! Anyway, she comes home one evening–late–and just before entering her house she picks this flower and muses….”did you ever notice how much different things smell and taste when you’ve been away for awhile?” She’s thinking this as she picks a flower and rubs it around her belly that is now a full nine months pregnant!

Great film…kind of a chick flick, but there’ s a lot to be learned for any males who watch it. Actually the darling Ms. Page received a nomination for the big one, OSCAR, Academy Award for Best Actress. If you care for really critically good acting performances, Ellen Page is a must see! However, I hasten to add that as anyones first Ellen Page experience, I’d suggest Hard Candy...brilliant performance!  

At any rate we’re . going to be starting some different things here at the site. I hope you’ve noticed the HUGE change in our masthead or header to the exploding fireworks, I thought it added some color and brilliance to the page as a whole.

 I am willing to take all suggestions for a proper name for this blog. In the beginning when it was first started I was told that “Simplistic States” was used for the very first name. Shortly thereafter the name was changed to “Simpleminds” with the exact same nuance—something that was easy on the brain, easy on the eyes, and in all manner of things just simple.

This is one of those times where we’re dropping anything remotely thematic.

Please don’t get me wrong here…most of the time working within the parameters of a theme albeit, nations or designers, or models and sensuality is really much easier because of those very guidelines.

However just as variety is indeed the spice of life, so is featuring a plethora of God’s creation and with it…some  attitude!

So please slide onto a chair, curl-up, or just kick back and enjoy his loving handiwork. One of the reasons we’ve decided to go without a theme this week is that we’ve collected more succulent and salious photography than we would ever be able to handle otherwise.

Not to be misunderstood, every shot we use here at Simpleminds comes from either the models own portfolio, or from a representative who is the title holder of the photograph. This example would be very characteristic of an advertising firm or manufacturer’s of the actual textiles used in the ad.

Of course it’s time for some introductions: At top left is Eugenia who is from Belarus; immediately right is perhaps the most oft seen model on this site including two of her own features and some other fabulous, Divinely inspired work is Kim C. from Canada.

Sometimes we like to feature just a single model and I think next time we do….it’s going to be ‘Pampita Ardohain’ from Argentina.  In all seriousness, we get a lot of requests for her.       

Over there on the right is not only a Supermodel, but also a Wonder Woman. We’ve shared the horrific stories of Petra N. on several different occasions, but gosh! Isn’t she just a sight for one’s eyes?
